Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang)
Before lunch, visit the ancient Ming Dynasty City Walls built over 600 years ago. The Xian City Walls are the best preserved in the whole of China and a fine example of Ming Dynasty fortifications. The wall is rectangular with a total length of 14 kilometer with watchtowers, corner towers, gate towers and parapet walls. The wall is 12 meters high affording a good view of the surrounding city and there is a walkway all the way around up to 14 meters wide in places. Muslim Quarter
After lunch, you continue your visit to the Xian Muslim Quarter, an area of several blocks very close to the city center and home to around 20,000 Muslims. Xian was the eastern end of the ancient Silk Road trading route and the Muslim community in the city started to grow from that ancient time. There are around ten mosques in this area, but the most important is the Great Mosque in Huajue Lane. Also worth a visit is the Beiyuanmen Muslim Street and market just to the north of the Drum Tower, a 500 mt long twisting lane way with stores along both sides and selling everything from hand-made Muslim food to Muslim Prayer Mats and other souvenirs.

After the end of your visit to the Muslim Quarter you will be transferred back to your hotel and the end of your tour.
