What To Expect

Jin Mao Tower
Your tour guide will be welcoming you at your hotel at 08:30 a.m. Then, we will transfer to Jin Mao Tower and start the one-day Shanghai tour.
Being the forth tallest building only to Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, Jin Mao Tower is located in the center of Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in Pudong. It is 420.5 meters (almost 1,380 feet) tall. The architect ingeniously combined the elements of traditional Chinese culture with the newest architectural styles of the time, which makes it one of the best-constructed buildings in China.
The 88th floor-the highest floor, is reserved for the tower's observation deck, which can hold 1000 people at any one time. From there, visitors can get a sweeping view of the sceneries on the banks of Huangpu River.
The tower has the best elevators available. Two direct elevators operate at the speed of 9.1 meters (nearly 30 feet) per second that can send visitors from the ground floor to the 88th floor for only 45 seconds.

Shanghai Ocean Aquarium
Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is located in Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in Pudong District and is adjacent to the famous Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower. One of the largest ocean aquariums in the world, it has the world's longest submarine viewing tunnel measuring 155 meters in length. The submarine viewing tunnel enables visitors to have a wonderful tour here.

Yuyuan Old Street
Shanghai Old Street, historically called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler's store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here. Visiting the old alleys of Shanghai is a great way to discover the traditional culture of this city and experience the real life of the Shanghainese.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan)
Yu Garden is the largest of Shanghai's ancient gardens with Ming and Qing architectural styles. Yu Garden is small in size, but it contains all elements that a classical Chinese garden should have. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters all have unique characteristics. The garden has six areas, each with its own style. The Grand Rockery, in the center of the Garden, is the most renowned sight. You can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge. Chinese people believe that the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness. Walking across the Bridge is said to bring people good luck. The Bridge leads to Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, which is the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.
Yu Garden is closed for renovation from Sep. 19 to Oct. 31. but you still can wander in Yuyuan Old Street.

Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road)
Nanjing Road is considered to be the 'No. 1 commercial street in China', which has been a landmark for this city for a long time. Along its 5.5 kilometers, you will find over 600 shops that on average are visited by some 1.7 million people each day. Here, you could purchase everything wanted, spanning from special and cheap souvenirs to the luxurious world famous brands.
Taking the Dangdang sightseeing tram. It's an unforgettable experience to take a ride on the old-style Dangdang tram. On the slow bus, you can see various stores out of the window, old or new, leaving your view one by one.

Xintiandi
Xintiandi is a tourist attraction that preserves the historical and cultural features of Shanghai and integrates Chinese and western culture. Xintiandi is divided into northern and southern parts. The south is dominated by modern architecture. The north is dominated by Shikumen old buildings. Composed of Shikumen and modern architectural style, now it has become a hot and fashionable pedestrian street in the center of the city. Actually, it stands for the popular and leisurely life style of this city's new generation. The outdoor cafés, bars and romantic restaurants can be seen everywhere.

Former French Concession
This will be the last stop of the tour.
It is totally different from what you have imagined about this modern, crowded and busy metropolis with skyscraper jungles, is quiet and idle with lots of European style villas and buildings from the early 20th century.
