What To Expect

People’s Square
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will transfer to People’s Square by public transportation and start the highlight tour.
Shanghai People's Square is located at the very center of Shanghai and is the demarcation point of East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a flourishing place for people to look around.
Before 1949, the area of Shanghai People’s Square and the People’s Park was used as a famous horse racetrack which was built in 1861, honored as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in Far East’. Visitors still can find the ruins for the former main building standing at the northeast part of the People’s Square.
We will see many scenic spots around people's square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.

Shanghai History Museum
Shanghai History Museum is located in People’s Square area, Shanghai history Museum is large Museum of Shanghai local history, from ancient time to modern era. There, you can see more than 400 cultural relics which witness Shanghai 6000 years civilization.

Shanghai Great World Amusement Park
This building used to be the pinnacle of Night life in Shanghai many years ago. Da Shi Jie was the happening place in the foreign settlement area in Shanghai. Crowds flocked there to see the novelties and enjoy themselves. On the first floor they still have the "magic mirrors" which were brought over from the Netherlands many decades ago. Some of the shows still survive. From beautifully woven carpets in Xinjiang, to cave paintings in Ningxia, to a wide variety of skilled artisans showing off their handicrafts.
There is also a street behind this building filled with great little eateries, definitely a good place for a quick bite. We will have lunch nearby before moving on to the next stop.

Bird And Flower Market(South Xizang road)
The tour will start by the crossing of Tibet Road and Fangbang Road, in one of Shanghai’s many antique neighborhoods, also known as the cricket market. Its full of flowers, bonsai, birds, fish insects and crowds of people searching for whatever their hearts desire. It is a good place to experience part of a local’s life kind of life.

Former French Concession
One of Shanghai’s most charming areas, the former French Concession is known for its tree-lined streets and interesting mix of Chinese and Western architectural styles. Popular with locals, expats and visitors, the area is home to a number of top attractions, as well as hip cafes, restaurants, bars, clubs, boutiques, galleries and museums.
It is totally different from what you have imagined about this modern, crowded and busy metropolis with skyscraper jungles, is quiet and idle with lots of European style villas and buildings from the early 20th century. It is a great place to learn the history and unique beauty of the city and to escape from the bustling city for a while.

Xintiandi
Xintiandi is a tourist attraction that preserves the historical and cultural features of Shanghai and integrates Chinese and western culture. Xintiandi is divided into northern and southern parts. The south is dominated by modern architecture. The north is dominated by Shikumen old buildings. Composed of Shikumen and modern architectural style, now it has become a hot and fashionable pedestrian street in the center of the city. Actually, it stands for the popular and leisurely life style of this city's new generation. The outdoor cafes, bars and romantic restaurants can be seen everywhere.

Shikumen Museum, Shanghai
It is an old shikumen house built in the 1920s that has been preserved and renovated. The museum was built according to the model of one household in the 1920s. There are seven main exhibition rooms, namely, the guest room, the study room, the old people's room, the master room, the daughter room, the pavilion room and the oven room. The story of a shikumen family runs through the whole visit. It not only shows the unique shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai, but also reproduces the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai people in those days.

Shanghai Tower
The new landmark of Shanghai, the tallest building in Shanghai with a total height of 632 meters. The 118th floor of the tower has a indoor observation deck which is the world's highest indoor observation deck and called the 'Top of Shanghai Observatory'. Tourists are recommended to visit the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, and then take the express elevator to the 118th floor directly within only 55 seconds, its speed can reach 18 meters per second. Here, you have a bird’s-eye view of Shanghai. You will have time to stop and admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River and drink a coffee or tea on the 119th floor. If the weather is nice enough, we will have a chance to see a spectacular sunset.

Yuyuan Old Street
Shanghai Old Street, historically called Miaoqian Dajie, is an old business street that has a combination of tourist attractions, shops, entertainment and cultural exhibits. It owes its special social attractions and rich commercial background to the fact that the earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler's store, wine shop and tea house of the city were all to be found here. Visiting the old alleys of Shanghai is a great way to discover the traditional culture of this city and experience the real life of the Shanghainese.
We can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge. Chinese people believe that the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness. Walking across the Bridge is said to bring people good luck. The Bridge leads to Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, which is the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.

Afterwards, we will transfer back to your hotel by public transportation. Wrap your memories and say good-bye in your hotel.
