What To Expect

The Classical Gardens of Suzhou
Meet your excellent English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby at 8:00 am or your preferred departure time, then take 90 minutes ride in comfortable & air-conditioned vehicle to Suzhou. This tour offers both "All Inclusive" and "Guide & Transfer" tour options, choose the one fits your needs upon booking. Typically, you will start your tour with "Garden of Cultivation" first, which is one of the best preserved examples of a Ming Dynasty classical garden in Suzhou with 479 years old, hidden behind the deep living alleys, more peaceful and quite. If you have any special requests, please feel free to discuss with your guide directly.

Then you will have a nice walk from garden to Shantang Street. Your lovely local guide will show you the ancient city gate "Chang Gate", which is one of the eight city gates at ancient Suzhou with over 2000 years old, great place today to discover local life.

Coming next is to take a relaxing boat to see how this beautiful water town is arranged by waterways and how life and market is going on by water.

Tiger Hill
The final stop will be at Tiger Hill. Beautiful bonsai garden and the oldest Buddhist pagoda in Suzhou are the highlights in Tiger Hill. Many of the bonsais are over 100 years old, your guide will explain you the way how to do it, learn you the history of Chinese bonsai. And the Buddhist pagoda is over 1000-year-old, also famous for its Leaning shape, enjoys reputation of "Chinese Pisa pagoda".

After your entire day trip is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.
