What To Expect

Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling)
Start your full-day tour with pickup at your hotel in Beijing city and meet your guide aboard an air-conditioned private vehicle. It’s a 1.5-hour drive to the Ming Tombs. Your tour guide will explain the related histories and stories on the way, feel free to ask questions if you have.

Dingling Underground Palace
Ming Tombs are mausoleums of thirteen emperors of the Ming dynasty. It is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China. First you will visit the Sacred Way which was built for Chang Ling, Emperor Zhu Di’s tomb, but since the other 12 tombs were also built in this area, the Sacred Way became the main road for all the thirteen tombs. Walk along the road with your tour guide, get an insight view of the meaning of the stone statues, as well as how Fengshui theory been used here. 

Then you can choose to visit Dingling or Changling. Your tour guide will walk with you and give a detailed stories about the Ming dynasties history and tell the life story of the owner of the tomb.

Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Zhu Yijun who ruling the longest period of all the 16 Ming emperors. After he died, he was buried in Dingling with his two empresses. If you choose to visit Dingling, you will be able to visit the Underground City.

Changling is the tomb of emperor Yongle (reigned 1403-1424). It is the largest and best-preserved of the Ming Tombs. Here, you can stroll around the courtyards and visit Ling'En Dian, an immense hall in which the interior columns and brackets have been left unpainted, creating an eye-catching contrast with the green ceiling panels.

Yinshan Pagoda Forest
You will stop at a Local Restaurant for lunch.

Continue to Yinshan Pagoda Forest. Pagoda Forest is a peaceful mountainous area with precious relics for studying ancient Chinese Buddhism. The mountain here has been a holy land of Buddhism, Monk Masters of Tang Dynasty once gave lectures in this mountain. There are many temples and pagodas had been built in the valley in Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. However, over the centuries, the temples and many pagodas were ruined. Today, eighteen still standing. Spend time with your tour guide to stroll around, admire the amazing cravings and get to know the history behind. Then pass through the relic of the temple, climb up to the mountain, visit Tiger stone, and other Pagodas. Enjoy the beautiful view of the area 

Afterwards, you will return to your hotel in Beijing city center around 5:30pm.
