What To Expect

Yangtze River First Bend

Meet your private guide in hotel's lobby in Lijiang, heading directly to Tiger Leaping Gorge which takes about 2 hour. Sit back and enjoy the sceneries along the way.

On the way, you will stop at The First Bend of the Yangtze. Rushing down from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau--"the roof of the world", the Yangtze surges into Yunnan from its northwest, where it meets Lancang River and Nu River. Then, they go together through the high mountains and deep gorges of Hengduan Mountains.

Enjoy the eye-catching scenery and stop for photos.

Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia)

Continue to Tiger Leaping Gorge which is one of the deepest gorges in the world.

Tiger Leaping Gorge can be divided into three parts based upon its hypsography characteristics: the upper gorge, the middle gorge and the lower gorge. The most famous scenic spots are the Mouth of the Gorge and the Tiger Leaping Pebble, both of which are on the upper gorge. Today, you will explore the upper Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Upon arrival, follow your tour guide to learn the legendary stories about the gorge, then walk about 1.5 miles (2.6 km) to the Tiger Leaping Rock. On the way, you will enjoy amazing view of the gorge, feel free to stop for photos.

Enjoy lunch in the local restaurant, then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Lijiang.
