What To Expect

Gansu Provincial Museum
Picked up from your downtown hotel in Lanzhou in the morning, then head to Gansu Provincial Museum. Gansu Provincial Museum covers an area of 180,000 square meters. There are nearly 100,000 relics in the museum, ranging from historical, modern and national relics. The relics in Gansu Provincial Museum include vessels and agricultural tools, painted pottery bowls, and excavations from the Silk Road of the Han and Tang periods.

Statue Of Mother Yellow River
Then move on to Yellow River Mother Sculpture, which is situated at the south bank of Yellow River. The sculpture is created by a famous sculptor in Lanzhou of Gansu Province. With the length of 6 meters and height of 2.6 meters, the Yellow River Mother Sculpture is more than 40 tons.

Continue to visit Waterwheel Garden, which is located in the Binhe East Road. It was originally built by Duan Xu in Ming Dynasty. It was used for irrigation of the farming fields along the Yellow River in ancient Lanzhou City.
Walk to Zhongshan Iron Bridge. Zhongshan Bridge is popularly known as "Iron Bridge" due to the making of the bridge. It is the first bridge over the Yellow River of all the 10 bridges now spanning the Yellow River in Lanzhou. The construction of the iron bridge was finished in 1907 during the reign of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1911 ).

Lanzhou Xiguan Mosque
After Chinese lunch, head to Lanzhou Xiguan Mosque also named Jiefang Road Mosque and Guest Mosque due to the fact that the mosque was built using donations from Silk Road traders. Xiguan Mosque is now located in Lanzhou's most prosperous business district.

Then head to Lanzhou Antique Market. Lanzhou's Antique market is located inside Lanzhou Chenghuang Miao ( Lanzhou Town God's Temple ) in the middle of Zhangye Road, the most famous pedestrian street in Lanzhou. The Town God Temple turned antique market gathers all kinds of ancient arts and crafts, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy and antiques collected from the non-governmental circles.
Finally take a walk along Zhengye Road, the most famous pedestrian street in Lanzhou. This commercial road has a long history with rich cultural heritage dating back to Song Dynasty ( 960-1276 ). Lanzhou Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street is rife with stores and restaurants, a good place for people watch and have a glimpse of the local life.
