TravelDeep focuses on private and customized cultural tours based on Chengdu. For each of our product, we only serve one small group (less than 6 persons) per day to make sure that all our guests fully enjoy themselves. To better help our guests grasp the spirit and enjoy the true essence of the city, we have young history scholar with PhD degree in ancient Chinese history as the guide. Experienced in popularizing history and culture issues, our funny and knowledgeable scholar would make your tour interesting and memorable. Together with the guides, our assistant with ten years of work experience using English would ensure the smooth communication. We also provide customized tours tailored to the time schedule and personal interests. Grown up in Chengdu, we know its past and present, its merits and faults, and its unique characteristics. We hope that we can show our guests around the city like old friends do, helping every guest enjoy their tours at the pace they like.

What To Expect

Jinsha Site Museum
Jinsha Site Museum is one of its kind. It is one of the few museums in Chengdu that includes both an archeological site and an exhibition hall. It is the gate to a bizarre civilization lost three thousand years ago. To help our guests fully enjoy their visit, our funny and knowledgeable history scholar, together with our English guide, would help you understand stories hidden behind and discover the lost history in an interesting and in-depth way.

Chengdu Renmin Park
For nearly one hundred years, Renmin Park (People's Park) has been the playground for Chengdu locals. Till now, there are still many interesting corners in it, making it convenient to get a glimpse of authentic Chengdu lifestyle.

You would visit the hundred-year old open-air tea house, take a cup of tea on the bamboo seats among locals, and enjoy a leisure and laid-back moment.
You could observe and experience how Chengdu people enjoy their life while exploring the park: singing, group dancing, match-making, feeding gold fish, etc.

Chengdu
With the help of our guides, you would explore in a large wet market where local people buy food every day and enjoy the most authentic and lively local lifestyle directly. While exploring in the market, we would also buy foods for our home-made lunch (or dinner) and try out local snacks.

- The wet market is a common market instead of a tourist site. We would try our best to avoid rush hours. But please be informed that sometimes the market tends to be noisy and crowded. There could also be wet floor.

Tianfu Square
Our guides would welcome you into their home near Tianfu square to enjoy an authentic home-made Sichuan dinner. You would experience the real daily life in Chengdu. Meanwhile, you could also enjoy traditional Chinese culture activities such as Chinese calligraphy writing, Chinese Incense Taoism experiencing, etc. You could also enjoy Chinese Kongfu Tea (Red tea, green, Wuloong, Jasmine, and Pu'er tea available). ALL the experiences are complimentary.

Please be noted that:

- The home of our guides is in an residential community near Tianfu square. It is in the 6TH floor WITHOUT elevator, so we are sorry that there would be stairs to climb. If you have any luggage with you, it would be safe to keep it in the car downstairs.

- Our guides have a dog (a border collie) at home. She is 2 years old, really friendly and passionate. The dog is properly immunized.

- After you book, we would contact you to provide a standard menu. If you have any opinions or requirements please let us know and we would be happy to make changes to meet your need. Please also inform us of any allergy you have.

-After the dinner, our guides would send you back to your hotel in air-conditioned vehicle.
