What To Expect

Yungang Grottoes
Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at the scheduled time. And then visit the caves of Yungang which are ancient caves of Chinese Buddhist temple located near the city of Datong, in Shanxi province. These are excellent examples of rock-cut architecture and one of the three most famous ancient Buddhist sculpture sites in China.

Nine Dragon Screen
Next, visit the screen of the nine dragons at the palace museum. There are three dragon screens in China, and it is the largest in China. The 426 azure stones that make up the dragons have also kept their brilliance and grandeur for 600 years.

Huayan Temple of Datong
Appreciate China's capacity for sustainable regeneration when you experience the cultural synthesis of religion and politics in the Huyan Temple Art Complex. Although the temple has been burnt down and rebuilt several times since its creation (907), the Mahavira Hall and the library of Buddhist texts still preserve the architecture, sculptures, frescoes and ancient inscriptions of China.
