Overview

Both Forbidden City and Great Wall were the wonders which were built by ancient emperors. This tour is focus on these two wonders.

2-hour tour in the world largest Emperor’s home-Forbidden City. It had been used as an Emperor’s home for almost 600 years, a place where 24 emperors lived, full of stories of fun, love, sad and many events which influenced China’s history. Also a gathering place of Chinese architect, almost 9,000 rooms marked the #1 building nationwide. The most important buildings/palace were built along the central line in the Forbidden City, our visit will be follow this line as well. Lunch is an option.

Great Wall tour at Mutianyu is another highlight. This part of the Great Wall is considered as the prettiest section in Beijing. It lies 75km/47miles away from Beijing city, the mountain full of the trees of chestnut and walnut, it made the wall pretty all year round.

What To Expect

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum

This world wonder journey to the Forbidden City and Great Wall starts at 8:30 in the morning. You will be met by our guide in your hotel lobby by this time. Then board on our nice & air-conditioned vehicle to go to the Forbidden City first.

Upon arrival, history telling first while standing in front of the magnificent Meridian Gate, which is the main entrance to the Forbidden City. Then follow the guide to go through the entrance with the pre-booked tickets. After you get into the Forbidden City, also called Palace Museum, you will be flooded by the tons of history from early Ming to Qing Dynasties (1420-1911). Our visit will follow the central line as the most important buildings were built along it. Lunch is an option after the Forbidden City tour.

Mutianyu Great Wall

In the afternoon, drive 1.5 hours to the another world wonder at Great Wall Mutianyu. It’s the prettiest part in Beijing.Upon arrival, you may choose to hike up to the wall (1,000 steps high) or take the Gondola up and down or toboggan down. While on the amazing wall, you will walk on it and go through many war watchtowers.

Your tour will be ended in the afternoon. Our private car will drive you back to the hotel. Lovely tour ends!
