What To Expect

Cuandixia Village

Start your excursion at a time to suit your schedule, and then leave your Beijing hotel by private vehicle. Travel by air-conditioned car along the west countryside and gaze out of the window at some of Beijings’ most beautiful mountains. Pass through several villages, and finally stop in Cuandixia ,a famous ancient village.Your English speaking guide will explain histories and stories about this village on the way.

Only 60 km away from Beijing there is a picturesque mountain village called Cuandixia Village. This village is located at the valley of Jingxi mountain area, and it is known for its well preserved 500 Ming and Qing dynasty-style courtyard houses owned by 70 families, ancient but unsophisticated, just like another “Shangri-la”. These houses on the hillside have remained largely unchanged for centuries, surrounded by mountains and luxuriant forests. Steep stairs and lanes paved with rocks are simple and unadorned.

The village was rated as a village of great tourist value and has been placed under national level cultural relics protection. It was also a great place to take photos. Many of the families (all descended from the original founder) opened their homes to provide meals for visitors.If you want to stop for lunch, feel free to tell your driver or guide for help

Return to your private vehicle, and travel back to Beijing city. Your private tour then finishes with a hotel drop-off.
