🏨 3-Hour Beijing Hutong Swift Walking tour (or by bicycle) Activity

Overview

This fabulous 3-hour private tour gives you a quick overview of the traditional part of Beijing, it's called Hutong, meaning small and narrow alleys. It's living area of common people in ancient dynasties. There were used to be more than 10,000 Hutong alleys in the past, but around 2,000 left today, and most of them were located in northern Beijing, it's our destination today. The tour includes walking or bicycle riding through those Hutongs, silver ingot bridge (walk option), lake area, Drum tower(not in night tour)-offers a bird-eye view of traditional part of Beijing as well as a local family visit (rickshaw option).

We offer five different options:

Bell and Drum Towers

Make your own choice of the tour starting time at 9:00am, 1:30 pm or 6:30 at night. Our private car and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby at selected departure time,then go straight to Hutong area. Upon arrival, follow your guide's step and listen to the interesting history and stories about the "traditional Beijing and Hutong Alleys". Then walk (walk option)or take a bicycle(option) ride to start this Hutong tour. You will go through many Hutong alleys. Here you're going to see and learn how local people live in such small and grey Siheyaun (quadrangle); how to tell the classes of building by looking at their doors; the famous buildings where the celebrities used to live. If you walk, you will go through the famous Houhai Bar Street(busy at night), Silver Ingot Bridge. If by bicycle, you'll be leaded to local family to see their current life and listen to their stories(not in night tour). Tour ends at drum tower(not in night tour), where you're going to overlook the traditional part of Beijing. After your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
