Overview

As one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, Wuzhen has the reputation of “the last pillow in China”. The history of more than 7,000 years of civilization and the history of building towns in 1300 have also made Guzhen the first Chinese historical and cultural city. The whole town is divided into Xizha (western street) and Dongzha (eastern street) by a crisscrossing river. During these two-day trip, you will have ample time to stroll on the brick road of this water town, taste the authentic food on the street, watch the neon and noisy exchanges in this picturesque place which will take you back to the ancient times.
