Overview

Experience an evening of Tang Dynasty extravaganza first by having a traditional Chinese dinner at Huaqing Palace.  Then feast your eyes with mesmerizing Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show of "The Everlasting Sorrow," an adaptation from the famous poem, Everlasting Regret. The show recreates scenes of Tang Dynasty imperial court and is honored by the Cultural Tourism Board of Shaanxi Province as a "landmark performance."

What To Expect

Huaqing Palace
With the efforts of Emperor Xuanzong and his forefathers, Tang Dynasty reached the peak of most prosperous eras in Chinese history. However, a military coup broke out during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong marking the turning point of the decline of Tang dynasty. "The Everlasting Sorrow" is a legendary love story of Emperor Xuanzong and his concubine, Yang Guifei, which took place at Huaqing Palace. This romantic imperial love story of a turmoil time has touched the hearts of Chinese people till today. The duration of the show is 70 minutes and consist of 10 scenes. It is performed on the stage located in the Huaqing Palace nightly from April through October only. The performance will start promptly at 8:10pm. Therefore, please present your admission ticket to staff member and take your seat in advance.
