What To Expect

Mount Qingcheng
Meet up at the lobby of your Chengdu Downtown hotel in the morning, greeting by your knowledgeable and friendly personal guide then transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle to Leshan Giant Buddha(approx.1 hour), relax on the way and enjoy beautiful countryside view.

As the UNESCO Site, Mount Qingcheng is one of the birthplaces of the Taoist religion and It is also a very attractive and intriguing scenic spot that is covered by luxuriant and verdant trees. There are 36 peaks in the mountain, more than 20 ancient temples and religious sites for Taoism, it exudes a strong flavor of Taoist culture and the buildings demonstrate the Sichuan style of architecture.

Follow your tour guide to take the battery bus to the main entrance, explore the highlights of Qigncheng Mountain, including different temples, pavilions, and other attractions. Get to know their history and stories.

Tianshi Cave
Move on to Tianshi Cave.You will see a Sui Dynasty (581-618) statue of Zhang Tianshi who is known as the founder of Taoism on Mt. Qingcheng. Explore three other buildings: Sanhuang Palace, the Sanqing Palace and the Huangdi Temple.

Back Peak of Qingcheng Mountain
Next, take cable car to Shangqing Palace, Qingsheng’s must-see building. The Shuangqing Palace was originally built during the Jin Dynasty (265-420), it was destroyed and rebuilt several times in history. Stroll around the halls and courtyards with your tour guide and admire the ancient temple, its relics and ancient gingko trees.

Walk to Laojun Pavilion, learn the history and enjoy amazing view of the surrounding area.

Descend by cable car to the foot of the mountain. Then enjoy lunch in the local village.

Dujiangyan Panda Base
In the afternoon, you will visit Dujiangyan Panda Base.

Dujiangyan Panda Base is the only giant panda care, disease prevention and control institute in the world. Chinese national treasure, is one of the rarest animal species in the world. They total 1,864 in China with 74 percent in Sichuan Province, while Dujiangyan Panda Base owns 170. Compared with Chengdu Panda Breeding Center, here have less tourists, you will have better visiting experience.

Stroll around the Panda Gardens with your tour guide, you can take photos of these enchanting and endangered creatures as they relax in their natural environment.

Continue to the Panda Museum to know more about the lovely animals, such as their origin, habitat and habits.

After your tour finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Chengdu.
