Jamie was a great tour guide. She showed us around in a very comfortable pace and we had enough time to enjoy the beautiful tour. At all times she made sure that we're doing alright and her stunning knowledge kept us entertained and interested throughout the whole trip.
There was so much to see and to discover that there was no space for boredom. Shanghai was so beautiful and the places we visited gave a great impression, also due to Jamie's fantastic explanations and her professional and lively informations and stories.
We recommend you to get Jamie as your guide as she did a wonderful job and we had so much fun.
Amazing Day with 华琳Jessie

I (late 20s) booked this this tour with my parents (late 60s) through our hotel. We were deciding between the hop on hop off bus tour and an organized tour through the hotel. Ultimately, we decided on the gray line tour because even though the audio sets come in English on the hop on hop off bus, the bus is often loud and we preferred a more intimate experience with guided explanation at each of the sites we visited. On the day of the tour, we only had one additional person join (4 people total) so it was a nearly private tour, which was great! We even had a nice mini-van which was more comfortable than a large coach bus. Jessie was able to customize the tour to meet our needs (trouble walking long distances, dietary restrictions, etc.). Also, she was able to modify our itinerary based on wait times/closures as it was the 70th anniversary and quite crowded in Shanghai. Even my extremely picky parents only had positive things to say about our tour with Jessie. I would highly recommend this tour while in Shanghai and would suggest that if you book this tour (which you should!) that you should ask for her as your guide.
Amazing trip in Shanghai

Very glad I booked this tour with Grayline Shanghai. I was picked up at the Westin Bund hotel and the guide Peter and driver came very early. We visited lots of places, including Jade Buddha temple, Yu garden and bazaar, the old French area, Museum of Shanghai , Bund, etc. Peter was very patient and taken good care of us, he explained everything we wanted to know.
We had lovely lunch at local place.
I loved this tour and this city. Hope we can have Peter as our guide on the next trip to Shanghai.

I booked on this tour because I only had one day to see Shanghai and I was on my own. I expected to be with other tourists on a large coach with brief information as we were dropped off at various attractions. How wrong could I be! I was the only person on the tour and Frank, my tour guide was delightful! Extremely well informed, courteous and friendly, it was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with him. The tour itself was a mixture of temples, tourist sights, city areas and, yes some shopping opportunities, but an excellent way for a first timer to see Shanghai. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I would absolutely recommend this tour!
Ok tour, but did not go to the Shanghai Museum

We were picked up at the hotel and then had to drive to other hotels through lots of traffic to pick up others. This was an 8 hour tour of Shanghai that I booked through Viator, which included the Yu Gardens, a Ming dynasty park of ponds, caves and pavilions. We also visited Old Street to see its classic Ming- and Qing buildings and teashops and the Jade Buddha Temple and Xin Tian Di district. The tour included a stop at the “Pearl Museum”, where they told us about fresh water and salt water pearls and tried to sell us some. After lunch which included many dishes on a lazy Susan, we were then taken to the “silk museum” where we learned about the silk harvesting process and they tried to sell us items made with silk, especially silk-filled duvets. We then went to the area of the former French Concession. There was a lot of "selling" on this tour, but I realize that China requires some ot this on tours.
