The tour group was small so it is very relaxing. Tour guide and driver are awesome company who gave detailed information for all the places which we visited!

This was a great tour and a perfect way to see the highlights of Beijing in a day! There were only three of us in the group and our guide William was flexible with time at each stop, allowing for guided time as well as free time to explore and take photos. William answered all our questions about Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, and any other topic. There were two shopping stops, for silks and pearls, but no pressure to buy. Lunch was nice with a variety of dishes to pick from.

At the end of the tour, William suggested a drop off spot which would allow me to explore another area of Beijing, but also easily return to my hotel via subway.

All in all, a great day!

Great way to see the highlights of Beijing in one day!

This is a great tour if you're limited on time in Beijing and want to see the highlights of major landmarks in the city. The company called me the day before to confirm my pick up time from my hotel and we were transported in a comfortable van. There were only 3 other people on the tour, which made it more personal. I hope you have William as your tour guide (he normally does tours on the weekends). Very friendly, personable, and knowledgable about the history behind all the places we visited. He knew how to get us through crowds and lines of visiting Chinese tourists from all over, which could be overwhelming at times during the peak season. Be prepared to walk and don't forget your passport, as it is required to gain entrance to Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City for foreigners. There are a few shopping stops throughout the day, including a silk factory and pearl market, so be aware that these may take up to an hour each. Also, bring some additional cash with you (many places in Beijing do not accept credit cards) as there are add-ons to this tour, including a boat ride to the Summer Palace and climbing the steps of the Summer Palace (highly recommend for a beautiful view of Kunming Lake, surrounding mountains, and the Beijing skyline -- if it's a clear day).

Good tour, saw a lot of places in one day. Its good if you have a short amount of time and want to see a bunch of places. You only see tiananmen square from across the street, so its mostly forbidden city, summer palace and temple of heaven which is what i wanted to see. They do take you to 2 factories which is annoying but i guess its part of most tours. Guide spoke good english. Lunch was pretty good as well.

A full day including the main sites but several stops not on the itinerary and lots of walking

It was nice having a small group but main attractions rushed and then lots of time spent being pressured into buying things. We started at Tiannamen Square and was told to only stop and take pictures when the guide told us to. However this is understandable as it's so busy and the group needs to stay together. A whistle stop tour of the Forbidden City before going to a silk factory which wasn't on the itinerary. They tried to get us to buy a duvet and we had ages to look round the shop. We then went for lunch at 11:30 - apparently the restaurant had a large booking later. Next was a stop at the institute of Chinese medicine - again not on the itinerary. We had a 'free' foot massage but had to tip and were then offered a consultation with a professor. Those that took up the offer were pressured into buying herbs for their 'ailments' (one man was told he needed to take care of his prostate when he hasn't got one). We then went to the temple of heaven but didn't really understand what it was a temple of. Then went to the summer palace where we had to buy a ticket to get the boat back. The final stop was a tea ceremony which was interesting but rushed as they wanted to get to the main point - trying to sell us very expensive tea. At the attractions it was difficult to hear the guide - headsets would have been useful. It was a good trip to cover seeing the main sites but there were 2 stops we didn't know about beforehand which was disappointing as we deliberately picked this trip as it didn't have stops where we would be pressured to buy things.
