Expert Tip. This picturesque seaside community, noted for its tropical weather, sandy beaches, pearl production and relatively clean air, has not yet become a major tourist destination. Taxis, bicycle taxis and motorcycle taxis are readily available and can be arranged by the hotel or hailed on the street. Travelers should be willing to negotiate fares if the quoted rate appears to be excessive. An average fare for the 20-minute trip from the airport is approximately US$11.
